New York, New York

3204163834 abf44b0dab o

"I go to Paris, I go to London, I go to Rome, and I always say, 'There's no place like New York. It's the most exciting city in the world now. That's the way it is. That's it.' "

I came to New York as a young 22 year old boy with no expectations and I ended up living in this most exciting of cities for 7 years! I never had been to New York before moving here and now I can't get enough of this city. For now, I have moved on and live in London. But I'll always miss you, New York! And I shall see you soon. Very soon!!!

----------------------

July 2011:  Last Potter movie releases and puts the Potter Mania in overdrive. London 2012 reveals the Olympic Stadium view shop and staggering riches are discovered hidden beneath South Indian temple.

----------------------

August 2011: India rejoices in success of Anna Hazare's hunger strike, London burns in the 2011 riots and Manhattan gets evacuated due to hurricane warning.

----------------------

September 2011:  Mansur Ali Khan, Tiger Pataudi, passes away and in a fitting tribute Rahul Dravid creates a lasting impression on his last tour of England playing for the Pautadi Trophy. New York and the world remembers the attacks of September 11th 2001 on it's 10th anniversary as the Occupy Wall Street movement takes over downtown Manhattan.

----------------------

October 2011: Steve Jobs, The Minister of Magic, and Jagit Singh, The Sultan of Ghazal, pass away! Elsewhere, Libyan rebels put down Muhammad Gadhafi and inaugural Indian Grand Prix is hailed has a huge success.

Let's face it we all have been there!

----------------------

Low Hanging Fruit!

----------------------

Super cool. For all the iron-man and comic geeks!!!

----------------------

I generally don't agree with the premise of this article that everyone successful, who's born privileged, should be modest and acknowledge the fact they were "born privileged"! But the author ties the article well in the end to give it a balanced tone!

----------------------

"For in his April 13 speech at George Washington University, the speech to which Standard & Poor's responded by reducing the government's credit rating to negative" - First, S&P didn't reduce the government's credit rating but marked outlook of US economy as negative. And second, I don't think S&P took its "action" as a reaction to Obama's speech! I just don't understand why Pundits have to be Pundits & feel the need to take partisan shots at the opponents. Why can't we just sit down and discuss policies in a proper civil debate ? Starting and ending your article by saying Obama dozed off in Tax 1 and he likes to take people's money, doesn't seem like a debate to me anymore!!!

----------------------

Army Strong!

----------------------

I thought we've seen everything in 2008 election season but Republicans (read Beck, trump, Bachman et al) are bent on topping it with 2012 nomination! Obama might get an easier walk to 2nd term than he deserves!

I've no words!!! *shrug* Indians have been saying this for the best part of last 3 decades. But somehow because self-interest of American politics, America can never admit the irony of it's relationship with corrupt governments of Afghanistan and Pakistan!

John Oliver articulated on Daily Show in the best possible way: ‎"Peter King is simply abiding by the age-old proverb: If a tree falls in the forest, and doesn't land on an American, then did that tree really fall?" or offering Freedom Packages to highlight the hypocrisy and irony of American foreign policy!
